​August Ames, born on August 23, 1994, in Antigonish, Nova Scotia, was a highly recognized Canadian-American model and performer whose career left a lasting impact on the industry. Growing up in a military family, she spent her childhood moving frequently throughout Canada and the United States, including time in Petawawa, Ontario, and Colorado Springs, Colorado. Despite a challenging upbringing, she pursued creative interests and completed her education at Oromocto High School in New Brunswick, where she was a senior-year cheerleader.

Before entering professional modeling, August worked in a variety of roles—including babysitting, bartending, and horse training—reflecting her strong work ethic and adaptability. In 2013, at age 19, she submitted a modeling application that led to her first professional shoot in California. Her career quickly gained momentum, and over a span of four years she appeared in over 270 productions, collaborating with leading studios such as Brazzers, Evil Angel, Elegant Angel, Girlfriends Films, Jules Jordan Video, New Sensations, Sweetheart Video, Twistys, Digital Desire, and Naughty America. She also appeared in the 2016 thriller Model for Murder: The Centerfold Killer, expanding her work into non-adult roles.

August earned significant recognition for her performances, receiving two AVN Awards—Best New Starlet (2015) and an additional win in 2017—along with multiple nominations across major award organizations.
