Jesse Jane  

Jesse Jane (born Cynthia Ann Howell, July 16, 1980, in Fort Worth, Texas) was an American model and entertainer recognized as one of the most prominent figures of 2000s adult entertainment. Raised on U.S. military bases due to her parents’ work at Tinker Air Force Base, she described herself as a “military brat” with a tomboy streak, balancing athletics with formal dance training. She graduated with honors from Moore High School in Oklahoma in 1998 and was a varsity cheerleader.

Before entering adult entertainment, Jesse built a mainstream modeling résumé, including work for David’s Bridal and 5-7-9, a Hooters commercial, and multiple Hawaiian Tropics beauty contests, earning Miss Photogenic at the American Dreams Pageant. She transitioned from bikini modeling to adult film in August 2002, signing an exclusive contract with Digital Playground, where her career quickly gained national visibility, including a feature on Showtime’s Family Business.

Over time, Jesse collaborated with major studios and platforms such as Digital Playground, Jules Jordan Video, Brazzers, Blacked.com, Playboy TV, and Penthouse. Her filmography spans 230+ scenes, with landmark productions including Pirates (2005), Pirates II: Stagnetti’s Revenge (2008), Island Fever 3 (2004), Cheerleaders (2008), and Babysitters 2 (2011). She earned multiple industry honors, including AVN Awards (2007, 2009, 2012), frequent Female Performer of the Year nominations, and inductions into the AVN, XRCO, and NightMoves Halls of Fame. In 2015, she signed with Jules Jordan Video and later retired in 2017, with a brief return in 2019.

Beyond films, Jesse’s crossover appeal included hosting the AVN Awards (2006, 2013), the XBIZ Awards (2008, 2011), and appearances on Playboy TV, along with mainstream cameos in Entourage and Starsky & Hutch. She was also named Penthouse Australia Pet of the Month (November 2010).

Jesse Jane passed away on January 24, 2024, in Moore, Oklahoma. In July 2024, the Oklahoma City Medical Examiner’s Office confirmed her death was accidental. She is remembered for her professionalism, star power, and lasting influence on premium studio production and pop-culture crossover within the industry.
